A Japanese butcher cleaver, distinct from its Western counterpart, is a specialized tool designed for precision meat cutting. It features a robust, wide blade adept at slicing through large cuts of meat and bones with ease and efficiency. This cleaver combines traditional Japanese craftsmanship with functionality, essential for professional butchery.

Recommended Maintenance
Store it in a dry environment using magnetic strips, knife rolls, or sayas. Avoid hitting hard or frozen objects and twisting the blade while cutting. These knives are not dishwasher safe. Clean with hot water and a soft cloth, and dry immediately after use to prevent rust spots on the high carbon steel. For more information please read the blog below.

This knife is made from a high-carbon steel and as such, will require a little more care than a regular off-the-shelf knife. It must be dried shortly after use, as prolonged exposure to moisture can cause rust spots to appear. A very light coat of oil during storage also helps to prevent rust spots. A patina (colouration and seasoning of the steel) will occur with use.
Love it
Great service and communicatiom
I haven't had time to test this knife for long, but for the little i've tested it, it is a great little tool, on the cheaper side. Of course, for that price, fit and finish isn't perfect (which means one needs to be careful not to wet the bolster or the butt too much, as water can get in), but its straight, great to use, looks good in my opinion, and cuts like a razor.

Nice looking blade. Bought it for a gift to a friend so can't rate it for performance. Definitely has me curious about thin cleavers
