Wash by hand. Warm soapy water, a soft sponge, a good rinse. Dry it off properly before putting it away so moisture does not get trapped anywhere.
Skip the dishwasher. The heat inside a dishwasher is too much for PE and will warp the board out of shape.
Keep it away from heat. No open flames, and no resting hot pans straight off the stove on top of it. Use a trivet or a cooling rack instead.
